Aural Elixir (sometimes solo jesse & other times not so solo) is a lyrical, piano driven, multi-genre concept deeply inspired by the rich musical textures of New Orleans, Jazz, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Thelonious Monk & Frank Zappa. Jesse brewed the first batch of Aural Elixir in the funky clubs of New Orleans in 1997. Building from a foundation of classical training in music & theatre, it was the influences of Jazz, Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos & the City of New Orleans that inspired Jesse to experiment with songwriting. Her eclectic musical taste and passion for variety fuel the creative fire for her signature concoction of jazz, rock, folk, soul, funk, latin, blues, and comedy music aptly named Aural Elixir. Aural Elixir has performed throughout the continental United States and independently released four cds available online & in various outlets. Now based in Colorado, Jesse is celebrating over a decade of Aural Elixir Music and is touring both solo & ensemble as well as creating the fifth Aural Elixir cd. Thanks for checking us out!
