Jamie Drake’s Bio

Jamie Drake is an artist that has been kept under wraps for many years. There have been many different comparisons drawn - from Jeff Buckley to Joni Mitchell - to attempt to describe her unique voice by the growing LA fanbase. In the winter of 2007, Jamie Drake decided to take her closet hobby of 11 years seriously, and started pursuing a career in music. Since making this decision, Jamie has actively been playing venues in the Los Angeles area such as Room 5 Lounge, The Foundry, and Cranes Tavern - where she has become a regular Tuesday night fixture and occasional promoter. In August of 2008, Jamie began the year-long process of recording her first record, which will be a self-titled EP. In the meantime, Jamie Drake has been gaining recognition in the singer songwriter genre in Los Angeles as she plays and sings with well known artists at the Hotel Cafe (Sally Jaye, Brian Wright), is a part of SWG (Songwriters Group) - a small group of up and coming artists who meet and share new songs with each other, and maintains her Tuesday night staple at Cranes Tavern.
