Champagne Velvet’s Bio

Champagne Velvet was formed in 1997 by Joe Walters and Christian Frizzell. Though they both had differing musical backgrounds and personal histories they had a mutual love for classic country music. With these roots they began to explore their own music, fusing the raw sound of rockabilly with the passion of punk they rapidly gained attention as one of the most exciting live acts in LA.

Though the lineup has changed through the years Champagne Velvet is at its core the same. Classic Americana powered with intense emotion, lurid storytelling and an unforgettable live show. If you happen to see them around town be sure to tell them CV FOR YOU..CV FOR ME!!
