A Living Daylight’s Bio

Singer and Guitarist Anthony Carroll has been playing guitar, singing, and writing songs as his life's passion and purpose for as long as he can remember. Coming from a very difficult childhood, music has always been who he is, his escape, and his consistent frame of mind. He formed many bands throughout his life always the originator, initiator, planner, communicator, and financial support. One of his proudest moments being the band, Eramae, but after the band dismemberment he couldn't take one more shot to the heart, this caused the decision to take his music career in a different direction of arrangement, sound, and structure. In the summer of 2007 he created A Living Daylight. Music, entertaining, and a pure passion for life is who Anthony is down to his core, and nothing will stop him until A Living Daylight is a household name and well established around the globe.

The lead guitarist and singer Jason Mericle has been a student of music for over 20 years, and in addition to being a great vocalist and songwriter, he actively plays every instrument in traditional mainstream music. He is college trained in both music theory and composition, experienced in both studio and live performance. He has been featured on several recordings done by various LA artists as well as a full length album Spirit Come by Generation Vineyard. He has played many venues throughout Los Angeles and Hollywood including the Roxy, the Whisky-A-Go-Go, the Viper Room, the House of Blues, and the Derby. Because of his seasoned education and experience in writing, performing, and recording, his musical directing skills contribute primarily to the depth of A Living Daylight's musicianship and technicalities that subtlety dwell underneath the obvious mainstream pop/rock sound that the listener is purposely presented on the audio surface.

Influences:

Of course the main influence in our band is our friends, family, and fans. But outside of that, ALD has influences across the board ranging from Slipknot and Smashing Pumpkins to Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey!

    Blame it on the De-lay

“Blame it on the De-lay” Hey guys, a word from The Wizard…just wanted to write you all and tell you what’s been going on with the ALD team! (Other than watching countless MJ videos on VH1 all day every day….dang, the 84 degree lean on Smooth Criminal owns!!) Well its official, the first single off the album, Blame It On the DJ, is finally done, and has been uploaded to all of our sites, so please check it out…and if you love it (you better!), you should add it to your playlist on your profile and tell all of your friends! A.N.T. and Jaysun had such an experience in the mixing stages of the album, but nevertheless through the hard times and good, it’s finally done, and it’s coming out EPIC! A special thanks to John Armstrong and Malcolm Welsford at Wilshire Records for all their hard work and time! Malcolm is finishing mixing the full album over the next week so expect to be hearing the new songs soon! The shooting of the Music video is finally complete! After a very close scare with our Director, he is finally all recovered and we are so thankful to have him back on his feet again!! The video is in editing stages and should be released sometime in early August…and so far it’s coming out amazing! If you haven’t had a chance to see some of the behind the scenes footage, go to www.29frame.com, click “blogs” and chegg em out! You can also see some amazing documentary footage as well done by them as well. A special shout out to Jay Joo and Mira with 29 Frame for all of their time and talents on this project. We love you guys and we are so grateful for you! Right now, Jaysun and A.N.T. are doing rigorous rehearsals to prepare for upcoming shows coming soon to a city near you!! They have been working very hard on their live performance set up that I think will blow you all away! It’s really technical, with lots of special secrets for you (very seizure inducing)…all I can say is WOW! So again, thank you to everyone out there for all your support. I know there are a lot of fans out there and we appreciate each and every one of you…the time is almost here…it’s been a long year, but we’ve accomplished a lot, and we can’t wait to be out on the scene where the fun begins!!! Wizard out…

    Pink Music Video Shoot

Last week was such an amazing week. A Living Daylight got to film for 2 days in Hollywood at numerous locations for Pink's new music video "Say What". It was such a great opportunity. We met some amazing people and had the time of our life. From Guitar Cetner, to the middle of Sunset Blvd, to a mansion in Bel Air... it was definitely an experience we will never forget. Can't wait to see the video on MTV late August! You can view pictures at www.myspace.com/alivingdaylight. You can also view them at www.hollywood.tv and various other papparazzi sites!
