Claire Tchaikowski’s Bio

Claire was born at the foot of the Alps in Switzerland, to an Irish mother and a half Polish father, hence her surname.

Her writing influences are deep and strong emotions and epic landscapes, with a twinge of her Celtic roots emerging in her voice.

It was this voice that producer Mike Hedges (U2, The Cure, Dido, The Priests, Manic Street Preachers etc) fell in love with, and after mentoring Claire for a number of years, he produced her debut album Those Thousand Seas, available on iTunes and CD Baby in advance of being released officially later in 2009.

Claire can mostly be found at home with her headphones on, or walking by the river in London. Especially when it's very hot and sunny, or when it's windy and threatening to rain...

Influences:

Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, Bobby McFerrin, Enya, Bach...
