All Tiny Creatures’ Bio

All Tiny Creatures is a project formed by Thomas Wincek in order to investigate process, structure, and atmosphere as it relates to the constructs of rock and electronic music.

All Tiny Creatures is a fusion of all things minimal, drawing equally on influences from classical minimalism, micro-techno, no-wave, krautrock, and beyond. Live, they do this with Wincek on Rhodes, electronics, and guitar, Ben Derickson on drums, Andrew Fitzpatrick on guitar and electronics, and Matthew Skemp on bass. And they do it LOUD.

Thomas Wincek is an instrumentalist by choice, and a computer operator out of necessity. His primary interest lies in the intersection of organic and electronic means of making sound. He has studied sound, sound composition and improvisation with Nicolas Collins, John Corbett and Rob Drinkwater. As part of Collections of Colonies of Bees, he's provided Rhodes piano, electronics, and sound. As the main force behind the experimental electronic dance act Emotional Joystick, he has worked at integrating the tenets of improvisation and sonic exploration into the rubric of contemporary dance music. As a result, he has released music on a variety of independent labels and toured many portions of the United States and Europe with his best friends and favorite musicians.
